Homes and Habitat Along Darby Creek: Sabbatical Project 2016 - 2017
Benefiting the Penn Wood Foundation and Students in the William Penn School District
The work on view was made during my 2016-17 sabbatical. I painted a body of artwork to model a portion of the AP exam in which students explore a theme in depth culminating in 12 pieces of artwork. I focused on habitat in and around Darby Creek, which flows through towns in the William Penn School District. This work was on view in the Administration Building of the William Penn School District in 2017. I donated all proceeds of sold paintings during the exhibition to the Penn Wood Foundation, a non-profit organization benefitting the students of the William Penn School District.
